From 18 to 22 March, our International Science Fair was held in Empoli. Among the many projects presented, the winner was “Feed the World” from Sweden, the second place went to Italy with “A fridge without electricity”, and the third place to Germany with a project on environmentally friendly plastic bags.
During the meeting, also job-shadowing for teachers and workshops for students took place (download the activity attached below).
During the 4th project meeting, students and teachers from the 5 countries of the project visited the astronomical observatory of Arcetri, on the hills of Florence, and learnt about old and new telescopes around the world

When we visited Uppsala University we found the past meeting the present .
At the Gustavianum we were shown some old astronomical instruments and listened to a lecture on the origin of the natural sciences in Sweden and in particular in Uppsala which still is a center for research of international renown. Continue reading “Our visit to Uppsala University and GE healthcare”
